Roaches
Roaches are among the most dreaded pests to have in your home. Though they have been around for millions of years, A-1 Termite and Pest Control can rid your home of this nuisance.
A few steps are helpful to successfully eliminate roaches: Determine where you have seen them, how many you have seen, what size, color, length and width are they? It is ideal to have an uncrushed specimen when possible.
We can treat for roaches in two ways:
Spraying - This method produces more immediate results, yet it still takes about 30 days for full effectiveness. Eggs need to hatch to expose nymph roaches to the pesticide. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets, which typically see roach activity, should be emptied of all contents so they can be sprayed. Residents and pets should vacate the house for 3 hours following treatment.
Baiting- Baits take longer to control problem but are just as effective when cabinets are not cleaned out. A technician will place bait in areas of activity. Roaches take bait to their colony where it can be shared and eradicate the roaches. This process takes 6 – 8 weeks for full effectiveness due to the roach’s life cycle. Residents and pets do not need to leave for this type of treatment.
