Fleas

Fleas can get into your house on your pet or on your clothes. They are particularly active in times of heavy rain or drought.

Your pet, should you have one, needs to be treated by a veterinarian at the same time your home is treated to prevent re-infestation. Prior to treatment the entire floor of your home should be thoroughly vacuumed including hardwood, tile, etc. Pay particular attention to vacuuming any areas that your pet frequents. Expose as much floor space as possible moving things from under beds and bottoms of closets. Fleas can lay dormant in egg form for a year so it is paramount to make a large floor area for treatment. Dispose of your vacuum contents in an outside trash receptacle.

Residents and pets need to leave the home for three hours following treatment while the spray dries. Following treatment you should vacuum all floors of your home at least every other day for 10 days. This vacuuming causes vibration which hatches the dormant fleas so they can be exposed to the pesticide.

Fleas are a painful pest for you and your pet. Let us make you flea free!
